Tithing is the consecration of a tenth of our income to the Lord through the Church. Giving this offering to God is one way we can “put the Lord first in our lives, above our own cares and interest.” Tithes help build the kingdom of God on the earth.
The Latter-day Saint practice the Biblical principle of tithing by donating 10 percent of their income to the Church.
