Just make sure you pick the hero you want to play at the end of the draft and the bots will play their positions according to the draft slots you picked them in. This has BY FAR been the best bot experience I've seen.
Generally the flow of the game will go something like this as radiant: Take the enemy tier 1 top tower, take tier 1 mid tower, take enemy tier 1 bot tower. Are you strong enough to push tier 2? yes -> push, no -> rosh.
Play with bots until you feel comfortable controlling your hero, using the shop and the courier, using all of your abilities, last hitting creeps then switch to real games. Beating bots is not really symbolic of what will happen in real game situations.
Bot games can be fun if you experiment and try different heroes while trying to learn. I usually put them on hard and if you don't like your opponenets then restart. Remember some heroes like bristleback, viper and sniper as bots are very strong for some reason. The other bots don't know how to fight them so it can make the game more challenging.

17 maj 2017 · Playing against bots is great tool for learning the basics of any MOBA. Getting thrown into matches with nine flaming players is daunting, and practicing with bot matches is a great way to practice the fundamentals and, of course, figure out what hero abilities actually do.
24 sie 2018 · use the Custom Lobby Feature in the Play Dota tab. Edit the options at the bottom: Select Turbo mode (or captain's mode, all pick, mutation, whatever), and Fill empty Slots with Bots. You can customize bot difficulty separately for each team. Start it up, and you're ready to go!
