You can reduce chances of asterina starfish from entering your reef on rocks by inspecting the new rocks being added to your reef tank.
13 gru 2023 · The best tactic is to wait until the lights go out on the reef tank and then remove every tiny starfish you see. These sea stars can be humanely euthanized with a coral dip or other solution. Never try to kill these starfish while they’re still in the aquarium!

I have not added anything to my tank in well over a year, yet I have these tiny white starfish all over the glass on my tank. They seem to be algae eaters as I dont have to clean the glass like I used to.
