2 sty 2024 · Timer resolution fucks with your PCs internal timer do not use it. It's a placebo, if one second is no longer one second then one frame per second is no longer one frame per second because the data is invalid. You reduce what the computer thinks is a second so it counts FPS as higher when in fact it will be the same.

That's pretty much the same concept, Windows standard timer resolution is 15.6 ms, using media player set it to 1.0 ms. Fortnite sets it to 1.0 on it's own btw, timer resolution sets it even lower to 0.5 ms. 15.6 to 1.0 was definitely noticeable, not so sure about 1.0 to 0.5. Could be placebo.
11 lip 2016 · roughly speaking timer resolution is how often your processor "updates/refreshes". older operating systems (xp and earlier) would have it set to 15+ milliseconds as default. this could increase your ping by 10/15ish and maybe drop your fps by the same amount. so on older systems timer resolution set to max would help.
2 mar 2020 · Also on the right column, check "Enable custom timer" and set "Wanted timer resolution" to 0.5 And use ISLC polling rate (ms) 500 from dropdown menu. And press Start, now it should be automatic and it starts every time you start windows so you don't have to do anything. I got this from some forum and it has worked for me perfecto

1 lis 2019 · after some fiddling it seems to be related to timer resolution (interrupt timer for power saving) if i have nothing opened, timer is at 15.6ms, all fine, if i open youtube page, groove (music), or any game, timer resolution gets changed every second, i cant remember any time whereit should be variable at all, youtube used 1ms, games usualy too ...
9 sie 2021 · No. stop using it. It doesnt help, fortnite requests a 1 timer res, you dont need less than that. No, Epic even made a statement a while back specifically stating that timer resolution is not against TOS. Last time I checked, if you are using Win10 then the program does nothing.

By default , windows uses 30 or 40% from your cpu, but this app will allow it to run 100% , which will optimize your gaming performance , and will make your gameplay smoother.
