Hilariously, the top rated comment on this story specifically references his personal experience with an expensive aluminum frame exploding in exactly the same conditions as the TIME frame - climbing, and poof. The difference there, of course, was that the aluminum frame's manufacturer sent a replacement no-questions-asked.
