10 maj 2011 · Let me preface this review by saying that I don't deserve this bike based on riding ability, nor can I really afford it. I started to learn about TIME, their total manufacturing process in France, including weaving their own carbon fiber, and got very interested. The fully lugged RXR, with gorgeous lines and slick graphics was overwhelming.
Time decided to take lessons learned from their RXR Chrono and build a race bike that focuses more on strength, stiffness and aerodynamics than on a massively low frame weight (the frame weighs 2.2 pounds or 1100 grams). The frame features the new Safe+2 fork with a multi-diameter steered tube and an oversized lower bearing.
24 sty 2011 · Le RXR de chrono n'a jamais été commercialisé et cela va faire 2 ans maintenant que Time n'a pas été fournisseur d'une équipe pro. Les cadres sont donc relativement "vieux" pour des cadres d'équipe et souvent les modèles vendus ne sont pas des premières mains.
Bit of a niche question: anyone here with experience of Time's tt bikes? I know that the RXR chrono came out in 2005-ish, and have seen RXR Chronos from as late as 2014-ish. Were there any major changes along the way?
20 maj 2010 · You need to add the appropriate headset stack to the Time head tube. With integrated headsets, that can range from around 8mm to 20mm. Just looking at the picture below, the headset is (or at least can be) on the short side.
