30 lip 2022 · Molded on zimmerit and a couple of photo-etch details would be welcome. I know that some Dragon kits are very expensive but that there are reasonable Tamiya kits around, as well. I've also read that Takom, Italeri and AFV do Tiger 1 kits.
The Tiger 1 had four (4) fuel Tanks alhough actually one (1) was an engine oil Tank, They were mounted to the rear of the tank, two(2) either side of the rear of the turret and two (2) midway down the engine engine bay. they can be identified by the crosshead indents in each filler cap.
Two vehicle markings are included. Set A is tank 300, a command vehicle from 3 Kompanie, sPzAbt.505 in Russia, delivered in April 1944. The distinctive “charging knight” emblems are both for the left turret side so replacements are needed.
Zimmerit. Tiger "003" was coated in Zimmerit before it went into service. Amusing Hobby's kit has a textured surface to represent the Zimmerit coating. Amusing Hobby have created a radial "sunburst" pattern of Zimmerit around the vision ports, the pistol port and the turret side hatch.

In that role it was intended to be a successor to the Panzer IV, should be armed with a long-barrelled 7,5cm gun, and weigh around 30 tons.
