20 lut 2004 · To change from the taps to the taps2 there is more than a lot of people realize. The taps system had a 2 ram system and used hydralics. The new taps 2 system is a single ram and electric. This new system was designed to give more throw due to the changes (continuious rocker ) in the hulls.
Coupled with a plate on the transom, Tige called the entire system TAPS2. The original controller is prone to failure, and is no longer available from Lenco or Tige. There are other solutions from Lenco but there are none which retain the use of the original trim switch and Tige gauge.

18 maj 2010 · I've been told that the Tige taps actuators are the only reliable things on Tige's. What your buddy needs to do is remove both actuators, float boat off of trailer at launch ramp and discard, then float new Tige onto trailer, re-install actuators.
