They are absolutely a scam & affiliated with several other scammy ticket sites like megaseats. They are arbitraging the ticket buying process - selling tickets for a high price long before the concert or event, and then buying low-price tickets at the last minute to fulfill those orders.
Tickets.com is scam company that somehow routes legit purchases to there site, over charges for the tickets and should be shut down as a criminal entity.
Overcharged for tickets. We wound up buying tickets for a show a month early and not long after tickets.com started charging less than a third of the price for the same tickets. They refused to help with their customer service line which sometimes didn’t even work during their business hours.

You can also visit general complaint sites like Ripoff Report and Pissed Consumer to see if the company name pops up.
