17 lip 2021 · Theodore Nott (Slytherin, 1991-1998) is the son of the Death Eater Nott (PS7, OP26). Theodore is described as “weedy-looking” (OP26) and “a clever loner who does not feel the need to join gangs, including Malfoy’s” (JKR).
There is Theodore Nott, Sr., who is a Death Eater who takes part in the ambush at the Department of Mysteries. He gets injured in the proceedings, and Lucius Malfoy shouts, "Leave Nott, leave him, I say – his injuries will be nothing to the Dark Lord compared to losing that prophecy" (35.84).
Several reasons. He's a slytherin, his father is a death eater and he was attributed the invention of the new timeturner in cursed child so Rowling clearly meant that he was a smart boy. There's also the fact that he witnessed his mother's death and therefore can see thestrals. We all know how much the community loves thestrals.
I still believe that Zabini or Nott could have been Slytherins taking part on the good side of the Hogwarts battle. I'd like to learn more about them as well. I mean it's possible, but Nott's father was a death eater, and Blaise is absolutely a blood elitist, based on his comments about Ginny on the train in HBP.

27 cze 2021 · Dumbledore mentions four of Voldemort’s “devoted friends” / “servants” in this scene: “Nott, Rosier, Mulciber, Dolohov” (HBP 444). It’s possible some of these are part of a Death Eater dynasty, and we’ll be exploring that in future essays. But others are some of the oldest Death Eaters still active.
