When I open the Sims4 folder in Program Files/EA Games, I can see six folders. _Installer, Data, Delta, FP01, Game, Support. I've turned on my mods and script mods in the game, however the mods folder does not appear in any of the files.

Then open the mods folder on your desktop, highlight all, copy and paste into new mods folder. Play to see if it worked, do not save if it didn't. I have used both methods at one time or another.
Has anyone ever not been able to find their mods folder in finder (even using the search bar for finder won’t work) but their mods are still in the game? I don’t know what’s wrong. I’ve restarted and shutdown my computer several times but nothing changes.

The only suggestion I can think of is to create a "Mods" folder in the C:User/Documents/Electronic Arts Folder/The Sims 4/ directory. Then try installing this mod http://modthesims.info/d/586033 (as a test to see if mods will work as this mod works with the newest version of the game).
