When I set “full screen = 0” (essentially disabling fullscreen at launch) the game will launch and run without issues. However, it runs in a small window. I know a lot of older games you could get a borderless full screen mode by editing a text option file for the functionality but based upon fourms that doesn't seem to be an option with Sims 3. I've also been unable to find any mod that does this either.

I recently got a new gaming laptop (Windows 10), but The Sims 3 now has a darker screen when I play it. It's not unplayable dark, but it's still annoying. If I go into windowed mode it goes back to a normal brightness, but I'd much rather do full screen.
