He does this mainly by attempting to force Lem to cooperate by using a possible jail sentence as leverage. Vic and the Strike Team attempt to end Kavanaugh's investigation and protect Lem.

Season 5 finale. First time viewer here, Shane and Lem are my favorites. This was just brutal and sad, I'm really pissed at Shane. He did it to protect the team in his mind but he was just protecting himself, the hypocrite.
