I’d love some recommendations of bands that are long gone but we’re staples in the Cincinnati music scene decades ago, or bands that are still together and have been at it for years and years. Bonus points if I can find their music on vinyl or cassette to add to my collection.

During ten anarchic years, The Replacements recorded a ton of wonderful songs, self-sabotaged their career, and never achieved the mass success they promised. The Replacements started as part of the hardcore punk scene of the early 1980s, but they were never punks at heart.
31 gru 2014 · One of the best shows I've EVER attended (I could probably say that about any of the Replacements shows I've seen). Anyway, the 'Mats were spot on that night and sounded great. Actually ran into them and played a couple games of pool with them at Dollar Bills prior to the show.
