Through OASys, aspiring and current City employees may apply for exams and pay for application fees online, obtain information on their scheduled test sessions and the results of their exams, and become eligible for merit-based civil service positions.
Standardized testing helps ensure the hiring and promotion processes are fair, competitive, and result in the City hiring the most qualified candidate for the job. DCAS typically administers over 180 exams to more than 110,000 candidates on an annual basis.
Getting your results. Exam results are normally provided within 8-10 weeks after the examination date and will be sent to the email address in your online application. If you did not receive an email from us, check your spam and junk mail folders.
