It is the first in an official trilogy of art books known as the "Goddess Collection" that was published by Dark Horse in partnership with Nintendo and was completed by the publication of The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts and The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia.
Question. I was given Hyrule Historia as a birthday gift a while back. I picked up Art and Artifacts from a used book store today. All I need is the Encyclopedia to have them all. I’m torn on which I’m the most impressed by and I’d like to have some outside input. Archived post.
At 1:10 in the video, there is a unique shot of Link being handed a sword by the old man at the start of the game. This is not present in any official Zelda 1 art collections, despite all other animated portions of the video being present.
