Where walkers make friends and friends go walking. The Field Club was founded on 2 July 1990, initially by a small group of friends, who all enjoyed the simple pleasure of walking in the Spanish countryside.
The Field Club season runs from mid September through to early June. Walks are graded from easy "A" to C+ depending on duration and difficulty and the average time is around four hours and the distance about 15 km. Locations vary from Tarifa to the Alpujarras and sometimes as far afield as Mallorca, Tenerife and Portugal.

Field club walks range from 6km to 20km and very few of these are on flat ground. Some shorter walks can involve a variety or up and down hill sections which will require a higher level of fitness than that of a stroll along the Paseo Maritimo.
