Unfortunately for NYC, a city of skyscrapers, a lots of zonings, construction costs and NIMBY's makes it impossible to built too tall in the city. But somehow something tall gets built.

21 lut 2018 · Worth noting that the building includes a ten-story midrise annex along Madison Avenue that could be torn down, and the existing tower is a pretty flexible Modernist box. Lots of possibilities to add onto the existing building or reconfigure it (not just stacking more floors on top) to add a ton of SF. _____

30 kwi 2004 · The existing four-story building at 200 Montague Street, aka 192 Montague Street, will make way for a new 20-story Beyer Blinder Belle-designed structure. The 10,000-square foot site sits directly adjacent to 75 Livingston Street, aka 16 Court Street.

270 Park Avenue, also known as the JPMorgan Chase Building, is a supertall skyscraper under construction on the East Side of the Midtown neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. Designed by the firm of Foster + Partners, the skyscraper is expected to rise 1,388 feet (423 m) when completed in 2025. Photograph of immediate past building.
