19 lut 2000 · I can't justify the cost of the overdrive unit when TCI sells a very complete 700R4 for $1495. I will be going the TCI route this summer to replace my T350. The TCI unit is supposed to handle 500hp.
6 wrz 2016 · I have and am very happy with the 400 turbo in my '39 350 powered p/u but as I get it more and more dependable and now have up-graded the suspension, brakes and steering I would like to consider overdrive for highway trips. What are the options out there and would like to hear opinions.

18 mar 2021 · I'm leaning away from the gear vendors at the 2,000$ price point because i'd still only have 3 gears, but if there's a cheaper alternative, i could happily avoid freeways and stick to 60MPH two-lanes. I'm pondering a 4L80 swap, could it be done without the E on the end?
24 mar 2022 · You are correct that the Gear Vendors turn 3-speed TH400 into a 6-speed with overdrive. It turns a Powerglide into a 4-speed. I'm also having a custom-made torque converter built specifically for my supercharged/nitrous application.
