19 lut 2000 · Since the 700 is essentially a 400 with an overdrive built into it, most critical parts from the 400 that were cheapened up in the 700 will fit the later trans, rollers, clutch hubs, etc, and will make a descent 700.

19 wrz 2012 · Doug Nash Engineering Dual Range Auxiliary Transmission, bolts on your TH400 transmission instead of the tailshaft housing. Gives a .75 to 1 overdrive ratio. Electrically shifted like a 2 speed truck rear end, and can stay in either direct or overdrive. Commonly used on RVs, motorhomes, bigger trucks.
6 wrz 2016 · The 4L80E is a TH400 with an overdrive gear set and clutch pack inserted between the torque converter and the rest of the trans. Gear Vendors is an aftermarket, bolt on overdrive for the TH400 (and many others). Not the least expensive route but seems to be very dependable and strong.
5 lis 2005 · I already needed to upgrade from blowing up TH350's and since TH400's are cheap and readily available. So I got ahold of a '92 Chevy Truck TH400 out of a C3500 (1ton) this gets you the HD TH400 Case. The case is much heavier and stouter than the regular TH400 case. I traded a burnt up TH350 to my cousin for this one.
16 maj 2021 · Did find "Gear Vendors" that offers a bolt-on adaptor to a TH400 to add the 4th gear. Any experience with this approach?
10 gru 2021 · It is a US Gear Dual Range Auxiliary Overdrive unit that bolts in between a Chevy TH400 transmission and your transfercase (6 bolt round). This works, in terms of adding OD to a transmission, like a Gear Vendors unit except this is intended to allow you to be in four wheel drive as it bolts between the transmission and the t-case.
