7 wrz 2005 · i think the problem lies within the filtering of the tftp protocol on your firewall. It's not enough to just open udp port 69. This port is just used on the first packet from the client to the server, after that they use source and destination ports > 1023. NAT should work with TFTP, as it doesn't use any embedded IP's.
26 lis 2020 · Every time I want to get a file from the TFTP server, it fails with a timeout. And after capturing the packet on the laptop, the root cause is found. NAT use dest IP and dest port as a sign to forward back the frame to pi 3 when the reply comes back.
9 gru 2021 · But why am I not seeing it in the capture? Then I notice the bind(4, {sa_family=AF_INET, sin_port=htons(0), ... – this is the server assigning an ephemeral port to the socket – and realize that I completely forgot a fundamental part of the TFTP protocol.
15 sty 2023 · When I try to connect from my VM to the TFTP server using the command: atftp --get <file_name> <host_os_ip>, I get the following error message: " [ip]: bad port number. Not connected." netstat -ano | find ":69 " and confirmed that the PID corresponds with the PID of tftpd64.
3 kwi 2024 · I've got a Windows 2019 box running TFTPD64 and the other switches on my network can connect to it just fine and up load copies of configs. Perfect. This one switch (Catalyst 9300X) is giving me grief. I can see it connect to the server, it creates a file but it's 0 bytes, and empty. Then on the switch the command returns an error;
10 paź 2010 · It's not that the server isn't listening on the port, it's that the tools you're using aren't showing you all of the information you want to see. You have a couple of options: Use the -a option with ss and netstat to specify all of the current connections.
