Sharks can only spawn within 250 tiles of the map's edge, or from a Shark Statue. Sharks do not flop around on land like most other fish, making them less dangerous to approach when beached. Along with other water enemies, Sharks will ignore players who aren't submerged in at least one tile of water.
The Shark is a pre-Hardmode enemy that spawns in the Ocean. Sharks are rarer than other Ocean enemies like Crabs or Pink Jellyfish, though they are still relatively common.
In half an hour I only got 2 sharks, one in each ocean (I switched because the first one was close to a corruption biome, so who knows). Was it nerfed? Did something change?
Find a shark statue, power it with buttons and wire. This would have taken you 30 seconds of just looking at the shark page on the wiki. Make sure you are not in an area that has lowered spawns due to NPC housing nearby (like if you have the angler and other NPSs on the beach).
24 cze 2020 · Sharks might have spawned all around you but never come near enough to see, because you're walled safely off from them. I recommend getting where they have a chance to have a go at you. Assuming you haven't any underwater gear yet, build one ore more "diving bells" in the ocean.
In Don't dig up (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) and Get fixed boi (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) worlds, the Reaver Shark is obtainable in the middle of the world, in or just above the Glowing Mushroom layer.
9 gru 2015 · Build a little platform just below the surface so you're in the water but not drowning, have a water candle, battle potions if you have them, and there should be plenty of sharks that will spawn. Middle of the ocean would be best so you have them spawning on both sides.
