The Calamity Mod adds 31 new armor sets and 2 miscellaneous armor pieces. 8 sets can be obtained Pre-Hardmode, 12 sets in Hardmode, and 11 sets post-Moon Lord. In addition, many vanilla armor sets are rebalanced or reworked.
Armor. Titanium armor is an all-around decent option for Melee, Ranged, and Mages due to its high survivability from Shadow Dodge. Frost armor is a decent option for Melee and Ranged players. Forbidden armor is a decent option for Mage and Summoner players.
