Firing Order: 1–3–4–2 (Distributorless Ignition) Differences between major engine parts are as follows: Blocks: The 2.0 is an underbored 2.3. With the exception of the bore, the blocks are identical to all 2.3’s. 1975 – 1988 2.3’s are interchangeable. 1989 – 1994 2.3’s are the same as the 1983 – 1988 2.3’s but have a smaller main journal saddle.
