(I live in the area) The place is now Andiamo’s Italian Restaurant, owned by a Son in law of the Tocco’s, a well known mob family in Detroit. Order the Jimmy Hoffa burger. It's still an issue in the south.

Before Ted's became the place to hang out and pick up members of the opposite sex while gulping down burgers, it was a lunch wagon in 1934, famous for its “World's Largest Hot Dog”.
