When we got in touch with Ted Aguilar, who’s handled rhythm guitar duties for Bay Area thrash legends Death Angel since the band’s reformation in 2001, we chatted for awhile about appreciating the sunshine that we normally take for granted here in California after weeks and weeks of rain and gloom.
TED AGUILAR. Born and raised in San Francisco. Not always the good parts! I formed my first band in highschool (with Will Carroll, in fact!) and have always had a passion for metal. I feel fortunate that I was able to be a part of the Bay Area thrash scene, which had a great influence on me and my life with music.
Death Angel is an American thrash metal band from Daly City, California, initially active from 1982 to 1991 and again since 2001. They have released nine studio albums , two demo tapes , one box set and three live albums .

22 maj 2014 · Deaddie had a chance to talk to Ted Aguilar, longtime guitarist of the band, for over a decade actually, regarding the band, the old stuff played and more… Early on, DEATH ANGEL were charging Baltimore along with CHILDREN OF BODOM as main headliner and TYR as support.
