23 cze 2018 · Hello all. my 2011, 60k miles, skoda fabia 1.2 tdi greenline estate has now had it's fifth new EGR valve fitted and I want to blank it out. I bought the car a few months ago at 55K miles and it drives beautifully, inspite of the turbo lag, so I was annoyed when the engine light came on.
8 cze 2019 · In short: this was caused by the EGR cooler bypass valve vacuum actuator leaking, which in turn would affect also the turbo boost of the car whenever it tried to activate these both at the same time. In order to understand what and why to do, I will do some explanation first.
19 sty 2004 · I was thinking of bypassing the EGR cooler coolant lines, as an uncooled egr is better off in terms of less condensation in the intake, and also less chance of it bursting and hydrolocking my engine. Is this a good idea?
20 lip 2004 · On the PD TDIs, a quick and dirty EGR delete is to unplug the cable going to the EGR/ASV assembly and this mod is easily reversible. If you do a full delete with a racepipe, you will need to remove the EGR cooler and block the exhaust from the turbo housing with a blockoff plate.
5 wrz 2012 · Hi all, Has anyone any experience of EGR blanking on the 3.0tdi. As far as I can see the EGR provides Nox reduction at the expense of worse fuel economy, a less responsive engine and loads of sooty greasy crap in the intake.
Some diesel vehicles can experience adverse effects like reduced horsepower, increased exhaust gas temperature and engine knocking. In some cases, it can be more beneficial to have an EGR valve replaced, rather than bypassed. If an EGR valve is blocked, it essentially is acting as an EGR delete and a kit isn’t always necessary.
