@pacmastermeow: Tails and Sonic have the same palette. You can find the regular palette on Sonic's sheet. Neither of the palettes shown in the sheet seem to correspond to the regular sprites (e.g. hurt/sliding, dash, idle). Will someone fix this? Also, his sideways sprite in the Special Stage is somewhat shorter than his upright sprite.

The difference between the in-game and Data Select sprites is basically down to the palette loaded, since that palette line also had to relate to Knuckles in the DS, replacing one of the grey shades with the light red - if you put the two Tails Victory poses next to each other, you'll see the shading definition difference.

24 kwi 2020 · 2020 info: After over a month, the full sprite sheet of updated Sonic 3 style Tails is finally here. Considering the strict development cycle of Sonic 3, it's easy to see why Talis' sprite appearance remain unchanged from Sonic 2 minus the dark red shade were removed.
