1 sty 2024 · Tacoma Water Rates. Residential water rates increase by about 9%, effective January 1, 2024. This includes an already approved system average increase of 4% and a WestRock-related increase of 5%. 2024 Fixed Charge per month, per meter.

Nevertheless, there is a notable absence of water hardness data for several locations, including Spokane, Tacoma, Everett, and numerous other cities across the state, as current figures are not available for these areas.
The City's water system is the third largest in the state of Washington, behind Seattle and Tacoma. Our water system includes pumps, reservoirs, source wells, and more than 1,000 miles of water mains and smaller water lines that bring water from our wells to homes and businesses.

Cascade expects to take water from Tacoma starting in 2041 to replace the declining Seattle supply. A new contract with Tacoma would allow Cascade to defer developing the Lake Tapps Reservoir until at least the 2060s.
