Alder Lake Park is located about 10 miles south of Eatonville on the northern end of Alder Lake, which was formed by Alder Dam in 1945. Our dams generate clean, renewable hydroelectric energy. The park is available to the public for camping, boating, swimming, water skiing, fishing, and day use.

Just an hour outside of Tacoma, Alder Lake-Tacoma Power Park is a beautiful waterside retreat for RV camping, fishing, and boating. Also known as Alder Lake Park, the waters here offer excellent kokanee fishing, especially in spring.
Owned and maintained by Tacoma Power, nearly all of the hydroelectric power from the dam is sent to Tacoma. The dam construction created an enormous opal reservoir, Alder Lake, which has been a home for water-based recreation and summer crowds ever since.
