A tach-dwell meter is a combination electronic device that measures engine rpm as a tachometer and ignition point dwell angle. The tachometer function is self-explanatory; it measures engine speed in revolutions per minute.
This document provides operating instructions for a Tach-Dwell tester model 3010. It describes how to connect the tester to different ignition systems and adjust settings. The tester measures both engine idle speed in RPM (tachometer function) and ignition point dwell angle.
8 mar 2014 · I just bought a Actron Dwell/Tach/Volmeter for my 1969 beetle. I'm new at adjusting the carb, but I know about the Volume screw (the small one) and the Air Bypass (the big screw). That's where I'm at!
This document provides instructions for using a Tach-Dwell Tester to measure engine idle speed in revolutions per minute (RPM) and ignition point dwell angle. It describes how to connect the tester, set the tester to zero, and use it to adjust idle speed, check the air-fuel ratio, test cylinder performance, and measure the centrifugal advance.
30 paź 2018 · I've owned a (used) Tach/Dwell for some years, that only has two leads: Gnd + Tach (Like Lee's). In second hand shop, saw this for $6.00. Bought, to verify my other meter's readings, maybe give away, + to save it, rare and needed (though seldom), from being sent to recycle.
A dwell meter is used to check the dwell angle on vehicles with a points-type ignition. Dwell angle is the length of time (measured by the degree of rotation of the distributor cam) the contact points open on a points-type ignition system.
21 lip 2009 · I'll get some clear photos of the wire sets and inputs tomorrow. Here are some better shots of the unit. I am guessing that you did not get all of the leads that came with the meter when it was new.
