9 sie 2016 · Many years ago, I replaced a factory 1/5 hp condenser motor in a Ruud unit, with a fasco 1/5 hp motor, after finishing up and about to grab my tools and go, the motor overheated and stopped. I will never replace a 1/5 or 1/6 with anything but a 1/4 anymore, been doing it for 15 years and have never had not one issue.
