23 maj 2010 · Replacement Condenser Fan Motor Sizing. Hi all, I'd like to get your thoughts on replacing a worn out condenser fan motor with a slightly more powerful one. The unit has a 6-pole, 1/8-hp motor, but those are expensive and hard to find. The motor is labeled 1,100 RPM.

9 sie 2016 · I hear what udarrell is saying about having too big of a motor being able to cause problems in certain situations, but going from 1/6 to 1/4 hp is not that big of a jump. As long as the amp draw of the new motor is running close to what it is rated for, it should be fine.
