30 lis 2022 · Blood tests that measure the hormones T-4 and T-3 and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) can confirm a diagnosis of hyperthyroidism. A high level of T-4 and a low level of TSH is common in people with hyperthyroidism.
Levothyroxine (LT4) monotherapy is the standard of care. Approximately, 5%‐10% of patients who normalise thyroid‐stimulating hormone levels with LT4 monotherapy may have persistent symptoms that patients and clinicians may attribute to hypothyroidism.

17 sty 2018 · Given evidence for poorer outcomes with raised thyroid hormone levels/suppressed TSH levels in both subjects not on thyroid hormone replacement and on LT4 monotherapy it is reasonable to measure TSH, free T4 and free T3 2–4 h post dose as this is the expected peak of serum T3 post dose.
25 kwi 2024 · The goal of therapy is restoration of the euthyroid state, which can be readily accomplished in almost all patients by oral administration of synthetic thyroxine (T4, levothyroxine). Appropriate treatment should reverse all the clinical manifestations of hypothyroidism.
