The Leader T2 MK5 Series firearms were chambered for the 5.56×45mm NATO cartridge and manufactured by Leader Dynamics of Smithfield, NSW, Australia (1978-1982/1983). The Leader was the brainchild of British weapons designer Charles St. George.

The Leader Dynamics T2 was produced in Australia as an inexpensive rifle for export, and a later variant with a folding stock was submitted in 1986 to military testing with the intent of replacing the Australian military’s FAL rifles.

Howdy all, just ran a peculiar looking Leader Dynamics T2 MK5. I loved it's late 70's to early 80's vibe.This Australian gun looked complete and in excellent condition. I love that it takes Stanag mags.
