8 mar 2013 · Lately my CPU fan has been roaring along at 100%, and I'm having trouble figuring out why. It will, at one moment, be running quietly, and the next moment blazing at 100%. I haven't changed anything in the BIOS settings, nor have I installed any new hardware.
Running your fan at maximum speed does a few things. 1. It moves air faster from one area to another. Make sure that the air that is being moved can safely move to an area where it can become hot without a problem. For example, outside of your computer case. 2. The fan will make more noise. This is more a personal thing.
22 paź 2018 · Check if the fan is still running at 100% continually. If it still does you have a motherboard problem, possibly the temp sensor thinking that the CPU is overheating but it could be something else ;-)
This can be achieved by keeping the CPU under low fan speeds when idling, and at load at high fan speeds, so as the average temp isn't offset too much.
