The LPN to BSN program is an online BSN completion program (with the exception of clinical practical experiences). This program is designed for those who already hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
Students will have the option of purchasing a. proctor to test at a local, approved location, if desired. This will accrue an additional cost and must. meet specifications. Please contact your advisor for additional information.
Eligibility will be determined by the LPN to BSN admission committee. NACE Exams Complete both NACE exams with at least a 70% by May 1st if applying for the Fall Nursing program or October 1st if applying to the Spring Nursing program.

The Degree Completion (LPN to BSN) program is a flexible, hybrid degree program for individuals who are working as licensed practical nurses and want to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing. The nursing curriculum is 60 credit hours, with 30 hours earned through advanced standing examination and 30 by enrollment to be completed within the program.
At SWOSU, you must earn between 122 and 125 credits to earn the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. 63 of the required Professional Requirements for LPN to BSN credits may be satisfied by passing the NLN Challenge Exams with a minimum 70% grade, by taking departmental exams, or by completing the courses at the university.
Admission requirements to the RN to BSN program include graduation from an ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) or diploma program accredited by a nursing body (NLNAC or CCNE-Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education).
