8 paź 2024 · Regular broad complex tachycardias can be ventricular (VT) or supraventricular (SVT with aberrancy) in origin, and differentiation between the two will significantly influence management of your patients.
23 maj 2023 · SVT with aberrancy and VT differ in the way that they engage the His-Purkinje network: VT propagates from ventricular muscle, with initial slow myocyte-to-myocyte conduction time. This causes a delayed/slurred initial QRS component; SVT with aberrancy displays initial sharp QRS deflections that arise from the preserved bundle branch
11 lut 2020 · Flecainide or propafenone should be considered for prevention of SVT in patients with WPW syndrome and without ischemic or structural heart disease (Class IIa). SVTs have been reported as risk factors for sudden cardiac death in patients with adult congenital heart disease (ACHD).
5 maj 2015 · Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT): rapid heart rate originating above/within the atrioventricular (AV) node; not a diagnosis, but a starting point for diagnosis. Sinus tachycardia: focal tachycardia from the sinoatrial node, usually regular.
Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) is common in infancy and childhood. Most SVT in children is due to a re-entrant mechanism and usually occurs in otherwise normally well children. SVT typically has a fixed rate, usually >220 bpm.
17 wrz 2015 · The tachydysrhythmias include a large number of diagnoses including atrial (atrial fibrillation/flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), multifocal atrial tachycardia (MFAT)) and ventricular dysrhythmias (ventricular tachycardia (VT), ventricular fibrillation (VF) and Torsades de Pointes).
