So my question is: Is there any specific website that bundles information on where to find good basemaps (such as administrational boundaries, cities, physical maps, relief maps, waterbodies, vegetation, soil and others) on a global scale that also include proper documentation and reliable data-quality?
This group contains a set of Esri world basemaps in GCS WGS84 that are available for use in ArcGIS Online. The group contains both web maps and tile layers.

28 cze 2021 · Is there a way to possibly download the basemap directly to the local file system of the computer? The AGOL group link you attached had many maps available for export but it seemed they were for export to other Esri/ArcGIS products like ArcGIS pro rather than being able to download them as a tile or raster file. Is it possible to do this?
28 wrz 2023 · Vector Basemaps are available for use in ArcGIS Pro, as well as directly in ArcGIS Online, and that opens-up some possibilities. One of the most impactful is the vector format itself. The basemaps retain full detail regardless of the display resolution, and they are ideal candidates for export regardless of the format.
The Carto, Background and Greyscale maps use OS Open Datasets: Strategi, Vector Map District and Open Map Local. The Raster map uses Miniscale, OS 250K, Vector Map District raster, and StreetView. Software used: ArcGIS Desktop.
