The Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas provides access to these reports for informational purposes only. These reports are compiled from data submitted to SLTX by surplus lines brokers, and reflect data processed in each calendar month.
Texas has adopted legislation allowing it to keep 100% of surplus line premium tax where Texas is the home state (SB 1, Article 18). Texas does allow domestic surplus lines insurers in the state. The provisions of the NRRA are effective July 21, 2011.
SLTX uses specific coverage codes exclusively with certain class codes, which allows increased efficiency in sharing information with interested stakeholders. Tech Support offers assistance to automatic filers in mapping lines of business or product codes to the SLTX coverage and class codes.
