We have proposed updated earthquake rupture scenarios along the Manila trench based on new geological earthquake focal mechanism information and geodetic observations. These rupture models enable tsunami assessment in the SCS and subsequent detailed examination of inundation processes for megacities along the coastlines of the SCS.
