Pure sulfur is a tasteless, odourless, brittle solid that is pale yellow in colour, a poor conductor of electricity, and insoluble in water.
Significance and Uses. Sulfur is widely used to make fertilizers, such as calcium sulfate. Sulfur is used in various agrochemicals, such as fungicides and insecticides.
