To make this fully playable Minecraft map of Europe I used the program QGIS to analyze and adapt the NASA Elevation data, GEBCO Bathymetry data, ESA Land Cover data and WWF HydroSHEDS River data. The layers were then exported and worked on in the program WorldPainter to make the Minecraft world.
Most of the time, the device communicates with a server and gets the mapping images from there. But displaying the map actually uses some simple programming and doesn’t require much processing. If you want to learn more, check out mapserver.org (open source) or ESRI (commercial)
Now this map is exclusively made for servers, that's because it's simply too large for any singleplayer gameplay, and if you are a server owner, and are willing to use this map in your server, you can add me as a friend on Discord, using this tag: MaRRyyas#3816.
