Basically the problem here is that better 7.62x54r ammos are common available and are able to be purchased and don’t require very hard tasks to do either, while 7.62x51 isn’t commonly available until late game unless you craft it, but LPS is available at prapor level 2.
Subsonic ammo doesn't make that sonic crack, so it's especially quiet when paired with a suppressor, this is also why the VSS/ASVAL are so quiet. However, in tarkov, there's no reason to use Subsonic ammo intentionally.
No ammo is important, but if you’re trying to kill people with body damage with this caliber at low levels you are doing it wrong. BCP does good damage and is available much earlier than 5a1. I’m not sure if this is your first wipe but the braindead your armor doesn’t matter m80 spam from pk2 until level 4 traders was ridiculous.
