The power status indicator is illuminated whenever the computer is on and is not in standby or hibernation mode. Check all power connections, and remove any power strips and surge protectors to connect the AC adapter directly to the AC power outlet. Inspect the AC adapter.
You should be able to unplug the connector for the power button card, then preform a reset by reseating cmos or by using the reset button. Won't be fun to use until you fix the power button, but at least you can get any important data off it.

(power cord from PSU to AC wall outlet) Remove CMOS recovery jumper (#17 in image below - note its’ connection) Remove CMOS battery (#24 in image below) (note the orientation of the battery) Hold power button for 5 seconds.

Interrupt a reboot cycle or boot loop by pressing and holding the power button until the device stays off. Once you have enforced a shutdown, try and power on again. This kind of reset may clear bunk settings. Remove all peripherals.
4 sty 2023 · I tried disconnecting the laptop battery, removing the CMOS battery, using the reset button hole at the bottom, waiting an hour, holding down the power button for a long time, etc. None of that worked.
