27 paź 2024 · Seeing the oil stain tells you the pump is working and the bar/chain are well lubed. It also helps to clear any debris in the bar slot. No matter how expencive the saw, what the brand etc, pumps do fail, lines and ports get blocked - better to know before a cut than after.

My stihl dealer told me he has cleaned the oil pump twice and when I picked it up the last time he showed me how much oil the saw was putting out by running it wide open against a piece of cardboard.
