28 maj 2019 · Steelskin is a new defensive skill which is available very early in the game. It instantly hardens your skin, granting a damage barrier that absorbs 70% of all damage taken. It has a maximum amount of damage that it can absorb, which increases as the gem levels.
You can use minor pantheon instead, but i opt to use it and steelskin to get bleed and corrupted blood immune. For your guard skills both steelskin and immortal call is both good and it depends on your preferences.
If you have nothing - Steelskin, If you have some extra Endurance Charges and solid generation - IC, If you have lots of armor - Molten Shell.
I'm to the game back after quite a while and don't understand how Steelskin really works. Everytime I cast it, an icon appears for over a second and then nothing happens. How do I know it's working? How long does it last? I'm on Series X. Thanks in advance.
Molten Shell, even at capped Armor (10,000) doesn't beat Steelskin or Immortal Call for protection (the retaliation damage is another story). CWDT 20 is the way to go now for most effective EHP for any of the guard skills.
