25 wrz 2019 · You either need an armor focused class like Jugg or Champion or some heavy armor boosting gear like Nebuloch. High Evasion + Iron Reflexes might be able to get there as well but it's certainly not something you will see often on normal builds.
Enough armor that molten shell is maybe 30% stronger in raw numbers than steelskin. The reason you care about it being even stronger than steelskin is that with its shorter cool down, steelskin is way better than molten shell if you're only getting the same amount of absorbed damage.
If you have nothing - Steelskin, If you have some extra Endurance Charges and solid generation - IC, If you have lots of armor - Molten Shell.

When the shell expires or absorbs enough damage, it explodes to deal fire damage around it, based on how much damage it absorbed. The amount of damage the shell can absorb increases with your armour value.

The "Req lvl" is the level required for Steelskin, whereas "Supported lvl" is the level that CWDT can cast at its current gem level. The green colors is where Steelskin and CWDT Match in Required and Supported, and where one would correctly assume the best Dmg/Shield to be.
