28 maj 2019 · Steelskin is a new defensive skill which is available very early in the game. It instantly hardens your skin, granting a damage barrier that absorbs 70% of all damage taken. It has a maximum amount of damage that it can absorb, which increases as the gem levels.
you need to take 5.2k damage, with a char that have over 5.2k life can use it to mitegate 3.6k further damage. Steelskin also have its inate cooldown of 3 seconds, and if you can get back over 5.2k life you should be able to proc it again.
No, you don't want to run steelskin on cwdt. Steelskin needs high level preferably 20 or 21 to be good, unlike molten shell which is great even at level 1, since it scales flatly, each level is quite a bit stronger than before. Either left click and forget it, or use it manually with steelskin.
I'm on Series X. Thanks in advance. i mean, it does exactly what the gem says it does. it lasts 1.5 seconds as written on the gem, and while it lasts whenever you take damage 70% of that damage is taken from steelskin rather than your HP, up until the buff runs out of damage it can take.
