As part of changes to make early game combat more active, we're introducing the new Steelskin skill, and are changing Molten Shell and Immortal Call. So probably not intended to be that used by the top 0.01% of players that clear t16 maps in two minutes.
28 maj 2019 · Steelskin is a new defensive skill which is available very early in the game. It instantly hardens your skin, granting a damage barrier that absorbs 70% of all damage taken. It has a maximum amount of damage that it can absorb, which increases as the gem levels.
There currently are five guard skills: Molten Shell (and Vaal Molten Shell) Immortal Call. Steelskin. Arcane Cloak. Bone Armour (Necromancer only, basically Steelskin) The vast majority of players in SC and HC run Molten Shell / VMS, it is the best guard skill for most builds, typically more than doubling EHP.

15 sie 2023 · If you're bad at remembering to use a Guard Skill consider triggering it with Cast when Damage Taken Support or putting it on Left Click. If your build lacks Armor and Mana instead consider Steelskin which gives immunity to Bleeding, and grants an absorb to increase your effective health pool.

2 mar 2024 · Every build needs to use a Guard Skill. You can have only one active on you at a time, but they provide invaluable defence. Molten Shell or Steelskin provide a bubble of damage absorption.
